Meeting Summary – 09/07/2025

During this week’s meeting, we explored one of France’s most iconic and lively events: La Braderie de Lille: the largest flea market in Europe! Held annually in early September, La Braderie de Lille attracts millions of visitors to the northern city of Lille. Streets are lined with vendors selling antiques, vintage clothes, books, art, and more. The event is not just about shopping, but it’s a festive celebration filled with food stalls, music, and tradition, reflecting the local spirit of community and commerce. To end the session on a slightly more exciting note, we played a Kahoot quiz focused on vocabulary and cultural facts from our discussion. The quiz included questions about La Braderie and French food. Great job to everyone who participated!
